[Bitop Review] Bitcoin Surges to $73,620, Nearing All-Time High

2024年10月30日发布

Bitcoin reached $73,620 last night, just a stone's throw away from its 3-year high of $73,777. As the U.S. presidential election approaches, election-driven momentum, robust technical indicators, and increasing derivative positions all suggest an improving price outlook for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Poised for Continued Q4 Rally

Improved technical indicators, new inflows into Bitcoin spot ETFs, and broader macroeconomic factors, including speculation of a Trump election victory and the seasonal strength of the fourth quarter market, support the continued upward momentum of Bitcoin.

The narrative of a "Trump trade" coupled with the seasonality of the fourth quarter has created a perfect storm for Bitcoin. While prices may fluctuate before the election, the future remains exciting.

Options Market Points to Year-End Bitcoin Price of $80,000

The options market also reflects a positive outlook for Bitcoin. Call options with a strike price of $80,000 on December 27th have gained popularity recently, indicating confidence in a post-election rebound. This suggests Bitcoin could reach or even exceed $80,000 by the end of the year. However, the current implied volatility is high, indicating potential price fluctuations around the election date. Analysts add that options expiring the week of the U.S. election have seen an increase in premiums, with implied volatility peaking shortly after November 5th, suggesting potential short-term volatility.

Bitcoin Spot ETFs Continue Net Inflows

Bitcoin spot ETFs saw net inflows of $480 million on Monday, marking the highest single-day inflow in two weeks. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the ETF with the largest net asset value, has seen 11 consecutive days of net inflows. Overall, Bitcoin spot ETFs have only experienced one day of net outflows since October 11th.
