[Bitop Review] Bitcoin Defends $66,600, TSMC ADR Soars 10%, US Chip Stocks Rally

Bitcoin experienced a mostly sideways trend yesterday, with several attempts to break above the $66,600 level overnight and into the early hours of today. At the time of writing, it has successfully reclaimed the $67,950 mark, representing a slight 0.74% increase over the past 24 hours.
However, it's too early to say that the Bitcoin correction has ended. Unless Bitcoin can consolidate above $67,800 and continue to break through previous highs, there is still a possibility of further declines. Investors should exercise caution.
TSMC ADR Leads the Charge, Dow Hits New High
On the US stock market, benefiting from TSMC's impressive Q3 earnings report released yesterday, TSMC ADR soared over 12% at one point and closed up 9.79%. This propelled the broader chip sector, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index gaining nearly 1% on the 17th and the Dow Jones closing 0.95% higher, hitting a new all-time high.
$169 Million Liquidated Across Crypto Exchanges in the Past 24 Hours
According to Coinglass data, over $169 million worth of cryptocurrency positions were liquidated across exchanges in the past 24 hours, with more than 58,000 traders being liquidated.
